Privacy Policy

HYB is operated by Hybrid Advisors, Inc. (doing business as Hybrid Foundation) ("Hybrid," "we," "us"). Hybrid Advisors, Inc. operates the platform and sells HYB memberships, and respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
Account information you provide — name, email, and password (stored only as a secure hash). Usage data such as lessons watched and progress. Payment information is processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your full card number. Community content you post is stored to deliver the feature.
How we use it
To provide and improve the service, deliver your courses and community access, process membership subscriptions, communicate with you about your account, and keep the platform secure.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share gated content or your private messages with other users beyond the intended recipients. Some of the advertising measurement described below can count as "sharing" under California law, and you can turn it off at any time (see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information).
Advertising and measurement on our website
On our website (not inside the HYB iOS or Android app) we use these advertising and measurement tags:
- the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram);
- the Vibe pixel, for advertising on connected TV (CTV) and streaming;
- the Whop pixel;
- Google Analytics 4;
- and a Simpli.fi tag when it is switched on.
We use them to measure visits to our website and to show ads to visitors across the brands owned and operated by Hybrid Advisors Inc ("our company-owned brands"). They record page visits and a few actions, such as joining the free community, creating an account or completing a purchase. They do not run on pages whose address carries a login link, a reset token or an order number. We never sell your data.
How to opt out. We honour Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, none of these tags loads. You can also opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page (see "Your choices" below). To control the ads you see on the platforms themselves, use your Meta ad preferences and Google My Ad Center; Google also offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We also send some of those same events to Meta directly from our servers (Meta's Conversions API), so they are counted once even when a browser blocks the pixel. With each of those events we send the event and the page; your email address and our account identifier only as hashed one-way codes (SHA-256), never in readable form; Meta's own browser and click identifiers when you have them; and, for events that happen while you are on our website, your IP address and your browser's user-agent (browser and device type), which Meta uses to match the event to its own records. We do not store your IP address or user-agent ourselves — only one-way codes of them, as described below.
We may build custom audiences from groups of members (for example, free members who have not joined Gold) and share them with Meta or Simpli.fi as hashed email addresses, so we can show relevant messages or leave you out of ads for things you already have. A random part of each group is always held back and never shared, so we can measure whether the ads help.
Links, partners and first-party cookies
When you arrive through one of our tracked links (addresses that start with /l/) or a partner's link (/go/), we note where you came from: the platform, the campaign and, for partner and clipper links, which partner sent you. We keep this on our own servers to learn which posts and partners bring people to HYB and to pay partners correctly. We use two cookies of our own for this: hyb_vid, a random identifier for your browser (kept up to 13 months), and hyb_ref, the partner code of the last partner link you used (kept 30 days). We store a one-way code of your IP address and browser type, never the address itself, and only the website name of the page that linked to you, never its full address.
Visit records that are never connected to an account or an email address are deleted after 13 months.
The HYB iOS app
The iOS app does not load advertising tags, and nothing that happens inside the app — including purchases made through Apple — is sent to Meta, Vibe, Whop, Simpli.fi or Google for advertising. We use it only for our own reporting.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example, payment processing and email delivery), and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.
AI Tutor (Agent H)
Hybrid's AI tutor, Agent H, uses AI technology from Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to generate responses. When you ask Agent H a question, the text you type is sent to Anthropic for processing, along with relevant excerpts from Hybrid's own course and training material, solely to generate an answer to your question. Anthropic does not use data submitted through Hybrid's API integration to train its models, and this data is handled under Anthropic's own data-protection commitments to API customers. We only send what you type into the tutor (and the Hybrid lesson context needed to answer it) — never your account, payment, or other personal information. Before your first use of Agent H, we ask you to acknowledge that a third-party AI provider is used to generate responses.
Your choices
You can access and update your account information, cancel your membership, or request deletion of your account by contacting us. You may opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
Delete your account. You can delete your account yourself in the app or on our website, or ask us by email. See Delete your HYB account for the steps and for what is deleted and what is kept.
Do Not Sell or Share. You can opt out of the advertising sharing described above on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. When you are signed in, the choice is saved to your account; when you are not, it is saved in this browser. After you opt out, our website loads no advertising tags for you, our servers stop sending events about you to advertising platforms, and we leave you out of every custom audience from then on. We still keep our own first-party records of how people find HYB. Two limits: an opt-out cannot recall events that were already sent before you made it, and the AI Weekend Challenge sign-up pages are hosted separately by our marketing provider — our servers do not forward events from them for a browser that sends Global Privacy Control, but tags that run on those pages themselves are not controlled by this setting.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as the same opt-out, automatically. When you are signed in, or when you give us your email address while the signal is on, we also save the opt-out to your account or address so it applies on your other devices too.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
